Shop, Spa and Savor
Guided VIP shopping trip to Paris led by Doni Belau, GG2P founder
June 26 to July 2, 2010
We’ll hit the annual sales, when all stores take 40–70 percent off their spring/summer collections. Six days, five nights. Cost: $3,600.
Included in Tour
• A five-night stay in central Paris at Hotel Verneuil (or similar).
• Transport to and from the airport and all metro tickets.
• Breakfast daily or brunch, plus most lunches and dinners at the hottest spots in the city (two glasses of wine included at dinner, one at lunch).
• Specialized tours from experts in shopping, gourmet food, art and culture.
• One market cooking class, two museum visits, a visit to an atelier, a Segway tour, one wine tasting and a completely personalized shopping experience. Plus, upon booking, you’ll receive a gift of a Girls’ Guide T-shirt and a Girls’ Guide canvas shopping bag.
Note: We will build in several hours each day so you can discover shops on your own or go back to places where you’d like to buy more.
Not included: airfare to Paris, spa services, one lunch and one dinner, taxis, extra wine.
Itinerary
Sunday, June 27: Arrival day

Arrive. Transport from airport.
Check in to hotel.
Meet for lunch nearby the hotel at 1 p.m.
Overview tour of Paris in the afternoon on a Segway.
Rest and recuperate from jet lag.
Special invitation to a Parisian home for a coupe de Champagne (one of our profiled Parisian Women).
Welcome dinner at a classic Parisian brasserie such as Balzar or Julien.
Monday, June 28: Our first day
Breakfast.
Visit the Fashion Museum.
Tour of the world’s most impressive grocery store, La Grande Épicerie du Bon Marché (it puts Dean & DeLuca to shame), followed by lunch there.
Private personalized shopping at Bon Marché, the oldest and best department store in Paris, pre-scouting the sales.**
Dinner at Le Chateaubriand (or similar) in the 11th Arrondissement at 8 p.m.
Tuesday, June 29: Spa, museum & Marais

Breakfast.
Visit the Photography Museum
Lunch on the Place des Vosges.
Shop the Marais (small boutiques) pre-scouting the sales.
Spa/hammam in the late afternoon, plus Moroccan tea.
Late light dinner (French tapas) at l’Avant Comptoir (includes a wine tasting).
Wednesday, June 30: First day of the sales

Breakfast.
Morning cooking class at Cook’n with Class (lunch included).
Exclusive VIP shopping in St. Germain from YSL to the small ateliers.
Dinner at Table 28 (or similar hot new bistro) with our food writer, Meg Zimbeck.
Thursday, July 1: Chocolate and sexy shoes

Meet for Pastry and Chocolate Tour (pastries will be our breakfast).
Hit the best shoe street and tour the best lingerie shop in Paris.
Light lunch on the go (sandwiches at Gérard Mulot).
Visit the atelier of a jewelry designer with Zeva Bellel from Paris By Appointment Only and tour the 10th Arrondissement.
Wine tasting.
Celebration and farewell dinner (surprise venue).
Friday, July 2: Final dash

Celebratory breakfast showing off our fashion finds.
Mad dash to Colette and rue St.-Honoré before heading home on our return flights.
Arrive safely home for the July 4 holiday.

Please send an email to Doni Belau and she will send you an invoice via PayPal for the $1,500 deposit to hold your spot. You can pay this invoice via credit card or with your PayPal account. The deposit is due by May 1. The remaining balance of $2,100 is due June 1. A minimum of 6 people is required for the tour to operate; the maximum is 10.
