Just steps away from the Golden Triangle, this new steakhouse is perfectly suited to its fashionable surroundings. Stop in between designer boutiques for charcoal-grilled wagyu steak or the city’s best burger. Diet-friendly grilled seafood is also superb here.

La Fidélité

When the nightlife scion behind Le Baron and Le Montana opened this new resto near Gare du Nord, it wasn’t long before celebrities filled its banquettes and models like Milla Jovovich were draping themselves over the grand piano. The food is really beside the point.
Le Fumoir

Kitchen Galerie Bis (KGB)

The recent opening of William Ledeuil’s new restaurant (steps away from the original Ze Kitchen Galerie) was greeted with lots of hype and rave reviews. Asian-inflected small plates are served in a chic and art-filled dining room.
Kong

Designed by Philippe Starck, known not for its food but for its decor and scene. Turns into a club later in the evening.
Mama Shelter
109, rue de Bagnolet, in the 20th. 01 43 48 48 48. Open daily.
Way out on the arty eastern side of Paris, a hip new hotel is drawing people to both sleep and eat. The Mama Shelter restaurant boasts an interior by Philippe Starck and a kitchen run by celebrity chef Alain Senderens, and serves classic dishes like duck Parmentier. In good weather the kitchen expands to include a rooftop barbecue party.
Mon Oncle

This stylish new bistro has drawn celebrity diners like Quentin Tarantino, but most of the regulars are simply neighbors from the surrounding bobo-chic Abbesses. Classic dishes and an astonishingly good cheese plate.
Music Hall
